San Francisco, Calif. — February 18, 2026 — Particle, the news app designed to combat information overload with personalized newsfeeds of streamlined stories from a variety of sources, is now available on Android devices worldwide.

Built by a dedicated Android engineer, the app was rigorously tested through private and public beta phases ahead of its global launch. Starting Wednesday, February 18, Android users can download Particle for free from Google Play and begin customizing their news experiences.

“We’ve built Particle to help people stay informed without feeling overwhelmed. Launching on Android is a big step forward in making fact-forward, personalized news accessible to everyone, everywhere,” said Particle CEO Sara Beykpour.

The Particle app has been available on iOS since November 2024. Particle News delivers straightforward, fact-based headlines and overviews, helping users stay informed without noise. The app allows people to personalize their feeds so they never miss updates on the topics that matter most to them, while also providing tools to compare how different publications are covering the same story.

Founded in 2023 by former Twitter engineers, the Particle app officially launched on iOS in 2024. The company has raised $4.4 million in seed funding and a $10.9 million Series A to support its mission of building a smarter, more empowering way to follow the news.
